"Is it the end of Adobe's Flash?" This is the sentence I have heard around the industry since Unity has launched, but for sure there is enough space for both technologies. Even offering Unity for free, there won't be a winner - they are different in concept. You can build more than games on Flash, websites, for example, and in vector... What Unity doesn't.

Since TechCrunch announced angel investors were backing up Unity Technology and the company was moving from Copenhagen to San Francisco, I realized they were ready to be huge!

They are ready to be huge and they will be huge, at least it is what they want. Why? Simple, it would be amazing to have Unity web player incorporated in next OS updates, exponential growing the installed based making all machines prepared to run games developed by millions of people and companies with its technology, right?

And what will happen with all these people starting developing with Unity free is the natural migration to Unity Pro. Unity Pro does not have many many more features from the free version, but these features are essential as video playback, real-time shadows etc. Check the licenses comparison.

So, am I thinking beyond the reality? Hope not.
